Hmmm, long time since i looked at the room editor, but from what i remember, as long as you have done the "output wad" etc, your level should convert with the Tom2PC .. And yes, if you have used the tut.1 wad for your level then choose that when converting, then select "Playable Tutorial Level" for new game...
But i hope one of builders will be by soon to give you some more indepth advice if you need it

Yes the prj is your project file, and that's how it will save.. You have to "output the WAD" in order to build your rooms and turn your prj into a TOM file...
With your project open in the room editor, go to "project" on the top bar of the window.. and choose "output WAD" .. You should then see the WADs folder appear.. now from list choose tut1.TOM and hit ok.. you should then see a message saying "creating rooms-please wait" ...then click ok when u see the small box saying "room wad output" .. Now save your project (Tut1.PRJ) and exit the room editor.. Open the tom2PC and convert your tut1.Tom to playable TR4 file.. Only then can you play your level..

You mean when the level is loading? If so, you did convert your level before trying to play it yes?
I have only ever found that error report to appear if a file is not correct. For instance if the TOM has not been converted, or i've forgotten to add say the new eng and script files, but the latter in your case wouldnt be the prob as you use the originals. It might well be then that there is something wrong in the script of your level, but that's way beyond me i'm afraid and you will need help from a builder coz i wouldn't know how to correct this
Other things... what OS are you using? If XP make sure u use the XP patch, then do a compatibility change to win98... I still think the error is a file prob, but these other things will help run everything more smoothly

You're welcome
Just one other thing, you didnt rename the wad did you? You must leave the tut1 name as it is, overwriting the original, renaming the wad means renaming alot of other thing too, and the level wont work unless you have done all that. I hope you get it sorted, i'll help as much as i can

Go to the tomb4 exe and right click on it.. then go to properties.. then go to compatibility.. tick the mode box then in the drop down list, change the compatability to win 98 and apply..
oh and i meant to ask.. can you run the normal levels, is it just your level that won't load?

It will send to a yahoo account as they accept larger files.. Just go into the trle data folder after u have converted yout tut1.tom file.. and you will see the tut1.tr4 file there.. copy and paste the tut1.tr4 file to desktop, then zip it if u can.. then attach it to mail and send to moonpooka2000@yahoo.com http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif
