But anyway this is great Raiding with all sorts of naughty stuff like timed runs, collapsing tiles, and so far quite alot of swimming.. and its all set in the most beautiful rooms making this a must to play :D

You have no idea what thoughts comes to my mind when I see these screens..I remember being so frustrated for the first 2 months while doing this level...changing textures and lighting like 2 times/day LOL While constanlty trying to understand how the editor worked.. The hub room almosts drove me crazy due to the limits of doors and objects.. It got worse on the second level though....constant crashes and too large areas for the LE to handle haha. It got easier from level 3-5 though. Once I got the hang of the basics hehe.

Overall I'm proud of my first adventure. Not because it is anything special compared to the pros out there but because I managed to do it by myself, finish the whole project and not giving up and finally being pleased with the result hehe http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif

Thanks for putting up the pics, Val! I really appreciate it!

Reminds me my first TRLE experience http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif Built a few small levels, then just got frustrated not because I could not learn, but because I lack creativity to create meaningful levels - stories. Where the importance of good fiction writer shows itself http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif

You should be well proud QRS, it's stunning and one would never guess this is a first project.. Must confess i got rather attached to that lift room as i spent at least half an hour trying to suss out what i had to do :D I also wondered if u took some stats on how many folk sat for 2 hours trying to bust the gem in the collapsing tile room via the tiles? If so, best add me to that list DOH!!!!

I'm now in a watery passage with levers, it's either timed or not, and today i will find out :D

Thanks, Val! I tried my best to polish the first levels as much as I could before the release. One problem with making a 5 level adventure as your first project was that you constantly learned new things...and had to go back to change things in earlier levels to make it look better.

I did these levels in a 6 month period and I think most of the time was on level 1-2.

Oh and you tried to bust the gem on the fly so to speak? I don't know if it is posible actually. Did you manage to do it? And yes, you are not the first to think that is the goal hehe. To manage to get to the crawlspace is hard enough, so I'm not that evil when I build http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif

My goal was to make a real hard game for the hardcore raiders out there. Hehe. I'm really inspired by Luis Martin's levels, so blame him if it is too hard j/k LOL!

It will not be easier but I think that you get used to the difficulty and not find it as hard later on http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif I hope you like timed runs hehe, as I love to build them.

Ya, and what about all the new stuff too? This is what put me off building because there is so much new stuff to learn, not that i'm complaining because it all good for us players, it's just as a new builder it must be very daunting :D

Nope  i suspect it is possible tho, if u side flip to the upper tile, then drop back on to the lower one and while firing let Lara drop, u are right in front of the gem, and my guess is if Lara's shots are timed at the right spot, she will break the gem.. hey, i bet RJB would love this challenge :D

It was evil  i only noticed the CS when Lara happened to whizz past it on her way to certain death

Ahh you have started again! Oh and yes, those ladders are for later...as you will return a few more time to the temple! I'm glad you liked it. I would have liked to fill it with a lot more things...but you know..the limitations of the editor..I had som many crashes so I had to drop a lot of things.

You are in for some hardcore just-about-everything in the next level btw. It is the only level I'm still really pleased with. Not how it looks but the puzzles, layout etc.

Good luck and thanks for playing my game!!

I just had to stop for a while to test a level and do its walkie for TC  Glad i didnt try to play this inbetween tho, u really need your wits about you eh? :D I loved the timed hatch area, i growl alot with timed runs but i do enjoy them  The mutant alien area is fabulously spooky, and i had missed a gem somewhere, luckily tho it was up on the north temple so i didnt have to go back down in those dungeons Posted Image

See you in "the torch challenge"! Or as Kristina named it in a fustrating moment, "the torch torture"

Any problems with the water parts btw? I recall you did not like water mazes hehe.

Thanks for playing my adventure! I means a lot to me when the experienced raiders play it!

And you were fast! The two last levels are a bit short but, more intense I guess hehe.

And yeah, I still like the sloping part of level 4 and the water slides. I borrowed the idea from H. Wuson's excellent "Acropolis saga". I just modified it a lot and it took time...heck it took me weaks to make that actually LOL!

After I was done, Titak told me there was an easier way of doing it...but then it was too late haha.

An no, I will not laugh at your secret collection! 13/16 is great! Some of them are really hard to get.

I hope you will like part 2 when it is released. Btw, I'm looking for another betatester for it. Are you interested? Elvis, Hedgy and mugs will be testing it when it is done and we could use another pair of hawk eyes!

Just tell me if you are interested when the time comes. It will not be finished this year though...I though the fall 2006 would be a good deadline but it seems I was wrong LOL! Right now I only have one level finished and about hmmm 3-4 levels with 1/3-1/2 done http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif I would love to have you in the betatest team!
