Hi all :gun:

If anyone needs help with having their levels beta tested then please ask here. We are still building the LE editor sections, but there is still help at hand.

Also, if anyone wants to be a tester then stick your names here. Builders can then contact you if and when they need help. Beta testers are always important to make sure a level runs smoothly, and that there are no errors in the level, so it's not just a case of playing through the level. You do need to look out for bugs, illegal routes, missing and stretched textures and so on, so be aware that is it quite hard work, but it's also vital for builders to have that help so i hope we can offer them that support here. :D

I am already a tester, so consider my name on the list

Very Interesting héhé. http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif
Not all forums provide such a service

Think I will ask for betatesting my new game (5 levels) at the end of the month. http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif

It would be good if someone who plays on a Mac could be part of the Beta-tester team.
coz it can happen sometimes there is no problem with a level on the PC but there can be a problem
on the Mac (or vice-versa)

Wow, Eric! Already 5 levels down!?! I'm planning something like that for my Egypt part 2 but so far I have only managed to get 1 level done (and like 10 unfinished ones LOL!). Also, your levels are not the easy short ones hehe. Great stuff in short time!

I really love your levels, so I'm looking forward to your release!!

Hmm that wipping guy seems too nice to be taken seriously. Do you have a more evil one, so I can get started?!? http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif

Seriously though, I have done quite a lot today. Level 2 (which is the first level doh) is over 100 roms and like 75% done now! Slowly...I'm getting there hehe.

As I see this as my second tutorial level, I will try to implement as many puzzles as I can, just to learn them. It is sometimes so damn hard to figure out levels for the puzzles though haha!

Still soo much to learn...If building were the lifespan, I would still be around 13-15 years old haha!.

That's what was so astounding with E&B, that you thought out so many puzzles and interesting stuff to do, things were never boring i can say that http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif

Sigh! my life's ambition would be to build a level (ok i'm old, there's not much more to life LOL) but i am way to picky and would never be happy with it.. :gun:

Ouch, Val! That really hurts haha. Just what I needed http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif

And please, make a level. It doesn't have to be long or the best in the world. Just keep building it until you are satisfied! Even if it takes one year for a level hehe. You can do it, I'm 100% sure about that. With all your playing experience, I'm sure it will be something really special!

I know the feeling about being picky though...I'm not really that worried about what other people think about my levels but I can't rest until I'm satisfied myself...and sometimes it goes to the extreme with small pathetic things..like changing 10 rooms with flipmaps etc just to be able to make a texture not look stretched LOL. I bet no one would even notice it in the game but I can't sleep with things like that haha.

That phobia is due to me playing too much Luis Martins levels...heck, if he could make 14 levels without a single stretched texture I must be able to do a few of them. That's what I'm telling myself at least LOL!

Ok, enough talk...time to start building again!

I opened up the room editor, as i have done like a million times, then prompty closed it  I did like the unofficial editor more and actually got round to placing some textures which then gave me more insentive.. maybe i'll go back to that .. trouble is i am so damned impatient  lucky i wasnt asked to build Rome as it seems it took longer than a day

 I know what it is. And yes Luis Martins is one of the best (or the best) man for apllying textures.
Lol now I can't help but notice all the non rotated triangular textures when I play a level. That's horrible. Someone helps me please

The levels will be a bit shorter this time, as I experienced some crashing in several of these.
Not too many objects nor triggers , not too big Wad , I eventually came to the conclusion that these crashes was because of too many textured squares. As I did want to have too many untextured rooms in my levels  I had to shorten them a bit.
