Just started this and its quite lovely. If you're a fan of TR1, you'll love returning to some familiar places, but will have a few new surprises to take care of.

Level 1 - The caves..

Posted Image

Enemies so far are dogs, bats and some mummies (which IMO are a little out of place). There are some new areas and the starting areas are way different to the original TR1. Later on we get to see places we recognise, only remastered with cleaner textures.

Posted Image

My only gripe so far is the lack of flares, and in these dark caves they are a must. Gameplay is fluid tho with a few tricks and traps, and near the end you'll shoot thro as it's basically the same as the original.

Heading for level 2 now

You missed them? :| In the first cave area, where u get one of the blue keys, you have to go thro a passage with some stone doors to open, the mummies were in there, two of them .. Posted Image

 No, definitely don't remember seeing them. But there again, I have played another level since then, so my mind may have gone a bit wonky since then.

Hansom creatures are'nt they. http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wow2.gif

They sure are, but as slow as ever

Finished City of Vilcabamba, it wasnt one of my fav levels from the original so i'm sort of glad to be out of it.. the new textures were nice tho

I'm now in Lost Valley and its awesome, now this was one of my fav TR1 levels and i adore the new look, its so green and lush. The mist is really creepy too.

Run out of SG shells tho so i dont know how i'm going to get rid of the second T Rex as pistols seem to have no effect what so ever :D

I was stuck for a while in Tomb of Qualopec. There's a completely new room which is really fabulous to explore.

Enemies are small dinos, and i've missed a secret so it seems :( Anyway, i came away with Scion in hand, and i'm now entering one of my most fav TR1 levels, St Francis Folly http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/wow2.gif

Wooo, City of Vilcabamba looks a nice level and I don't think I have played that one yet. I Will download that one soon and give it a shot. :jumpy:

Edit, I just realised I am going mad, Have a lot on my mind lately. But anyhow, I did a search on tle and found another Lost Valley and just played it.

Here is a screenie.

It was rather quick and easy and saw no Lost Valley in it.

http://www.tombraide...level_index.php

Finshed St Francis' Folly. How lovely to be back there..

The place is almost the same, don't expect many changes. This room was a tad hair raising tho :|

Enemies are Lions, bats, Gorillas and a croc, just like old times. The lighting was much better this time around though, and it was a nice trek back in time..

I am finally with you now. You see, in your second screen-shot, I had played a level on Sunday that looked very similar to that one.

Anyhow, I have downloaded this one now and will start playing it at the weekend.

Keep posting the screenies, as it looks like a fantastic game. :jumpy:

I'm not quite up to doing or writing walkthroughs, just yet. But maybe in the near future. To be honest, I would get the person totally lost and confused, the way I play my levels.

But, if this site ever needs level reports written, with added screen-shots, I am more than happy to oblige.

Have just finished this wonderful set of levels. It was wonderful to play them. The author did an outstanding job in creating a remake of TR 1.
