(I hope this thread suits to Legend)
I downloaded TRL demo from TRComm...
Starting to extract files... but it hits an error message on half of archive.dat: "Error: invalid compressed data to inflate"
Details:
Use Path: yes Overlay Files: no
Extracting archive.dat

What could be the problem?
I tried many times...in vain.

Moonpooka has tested that level for us after downloading and it was working... I hope she can help with that issue. Btw, if you downloaded the demo more than 2 weeks ago, please re-download. The latest updated version of demo is version 1.2 with NextGene features enabled - make sure you have that one...

Sorry for late reply guys, been checking this out.. I have DL the demo again today and it extracts fine for me.. checked all files within the DL and they are all present and correct... i'll try to get someone else to DL the demo too for a second opinion, but from my end it all works fine

Okeys, someone having the same error message, says:
Well, I found the cause of my problem, it was my firewall. Turns out the sucker was protecting me a little too much, somehow messing up parts of the download file

So, what im suggesting is check your firewall.

.... im waiting for the download to finish at the moment ... i wish it would be a bit smaller ...

EDIT:

Ok, the file extracts just fine. Nothing wrong with it.

Thank you so much for your help with testing that CoorDisain

I tried to look for a solution for Kadry, but i only came up with these things to try...

1. Use a different browser to download
2. Don't use a download accelerator
3. Make sure your temporary internet files folder has enough extra capacity
to contain the complete download

and my own two penneth is.. use WinRAR archiver to unzip the file.. http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif
