I'd be surprised if anyone says the harpoon gun. I always though it was funny Core made the MP-5 a long range weapon and ineffecent at close range. http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/gy.gif

Anywho, I like the Desert Eagle. Hellicious firepower, a pretty decent reload rate for the punch it packs, and a great range. You can also put a scope on it. The only drawback is the small ammo pickups, which are also pretty rare.

But actually, MP5 is not long range weapon, its just a submachine gun, and has various modifications, MP5-SD5 version which is the most famous version with suppressor. If they wanna be realistic and give her long range weapon, then they should give her either Aug or M16 which actually is not a good idea IMHO, coz it would make game of FPS genre, rather than of adventure genre.

My fave of course is crossbow, which gives more adventurous atmosphere to the game - reminds me Indiana Jones style (he never used crossbow as far as remember, tho)...

Dead on Shehi, the MP-5 is world famous for being a great close combat weapon but Core went and made it the exact opposite. I fancy her with the M-16 for ethnocentric and nationalistic reasons, USA USA!!

Desert Eagle is the best! I wish the ammos weren't very rare though because I'm careful when using the Desert Eagle. Don't want the ammos to run out quickly. I think it's the best weapon.

I have just 1 question. Isn't the MP5 the same as the HK Gun?

Heckler and Koch, aka H&K, is German warfare company established in 1949 which produces these series of SMGs (submachine guns):

PDW
MP5
UMP

So MP5 is one of their products, and as other products is sometimes named by the name of their producers: HK MP5. But of course, Heckler & Koch are not the only company who produces MP5... More info can be found here:

Also if you check further in the site, you will notice that company has their own production weapon called HK33 and HK53 which looks like MP5, but is completely different weapon - its a carbine not SMG...

ya sure it's rare? I find that with the exception of the explosives and harpoons ammo, the ammo strewn in the game (TR3 in this case) is relatively evened out. Desert Eagle is cool; accurate and deadly. If you mean TR5 ("The Base"), its the exact opposite, probably because of the ability to scope.

i love the uzis their very fast at shooting and have good gun power i also like

mp5 and mp6
deserteagle
haret poon usefull under water in tomb raider 2 when killing sharks
and basicley all the other weapons iswell but the poll forgot to put in atamatic pistols out of tomb raider 2 i think

In real life or gaming? http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif In real life there are pistols much powerful, even than a rifle sometimes with high lethal damage. And generally most of them (powerful pistols) are non-automatic, but much stronger than uzi's. Uzi's kinda look like automatic pistols because of their sizes, but as their bullets (should I say "caliber"?) are too small, they don't cause anything lethal in general unless you hit the target on lethal locations like head, heart, liver etc. If I was a military person, I would prefer good automatic pistol to uzi I guess...

And: No, I don't know why they call it Hong Kong gun - maybe just because of the abbreviation? Or is there any other special reason for that?
