I tried crawling. But that wasn't the problem. The amount of time u have once you stun him was the problem. I tried for so long and then my sis tried for so long and then we both gave up. It drove me INSANE!!!!

all i done was shoot didnt duck and got the painting then ran out of the hall

Yeah. He was a real pain. But it felt very nice when I got the painting for the first time. The best way is to get as close as you can to the painting and shoot from there, crouching or standing -- doesn't matter and get out when Brother Obscura's frozen. I ould say it took me...hmm...quite some time to get past him.

at first, I couldn't manage it at all. i downloaded a save game file, because there didn't appear a yellow hand when I was up to grab the painting.
the second time i played this, everything was right... yellow hand also appeared and it took me about 2 times.

Since I wasn't using a walkthrough, I kept shooting at Brother Obscura and then trying to grab the painting, but it didn't work because the painting would then change locations.. Finally I read a walkthrough and realized you have to shoot him 23 times with the shotgun.. 10 times later, I got the painting!
