A word on the planned AoD trilogy: it wouldn't have made any good business sense for Crystal Dynamics to continue a trilogy that started with a game which was almost universally panned by critics. What they had to do - and did - with Legends was give Lara a new lease of life: they had to take the franchise back to its roots while making it accessible for new and younger gamers. That meant doing away with a lot of what had gone before and putting their own clear stamp on Tomb Raider.
Touching the old games in general and AoD in particular with a bargepole is, I think, something that they'll not risk doing. Of the old characters (Winston having already been reintroduced - you just don't mess with the butler - and Zip having become what seems like a permanent fixture), I think they only other one who might ever be mentioned again is Von Croy, and then only in passing.
As for my thoughts on Kurtis himself...ehn, didn't make much of an impact for me as a character. I love (most of) the TR games because I love Lara's character - if I wanted to spend my precious escapism time guiding a stubbly smoker around an industrial facility, I'd be playing Metal Gear Solid.
I'm not interested in seeing him again, and I doubt we ever will. The problem is that he was obviously set up as a love interest - yes, he does do a bit more with his hands than is necessary to disarm someone, but Lara was doing exactly the same thing to him later on - and if he reappeared in a later game, it would almost certainly have to be in that context. I am...not too keen on seeing Lara getting paired off.
Besides, the next game will have to deal with the ending of Legends, and doubtless Amanda will reprise her role as villain. There's not really anywhere that Kurtis could fit into that.

Sure, I want him to be there for Lara (She don't need his help, but whatever).
As long as they don't kiss or something, despite it'll be nice...

i think he should be back, but only as a minor character, or he could be lara's next enemy in tr8 coz lara didn't save him at the end of tr6. the rest i don't care

I would like for Kurtis to come back, but before anything, I want Natla to come back. I'm enraged that Natla's not back. She hasn't even been mentioned for years, and not many people even know of her anymore. But of course, my wish seems to be getting granted, with Tomb Raider Legend. Those 'Natla Industries' boxes looked promising.
But Kurtis was alright, but I really hope that he doesn't get with Lara anytime in the future. I'm quite supportive of Lara and Allister. So. But Kurtis was pretty sexy. ^^

Only as a non playable character. He was way to slow to move. He would never make it to a playable position.

I agree with Natla of Atlantis. Natla should be back, she was a great enemy for Lara!
In my opinion, a LOT better than Amanda (ok, Amanda's not "evil", she only has a different goal, she's not trying to rule the work).
Anyway, I agree with what most people said: Kurtis could appear again as a 2nd playable character, and not moving so slow. I really liked to see him and Lara fighting http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif .

In my opinion that isn't a good idea that Kurtis comes into future TR games. Potentially this is impossible too...

Yeah, Kurtis was a really great caracter but it was so hard to move him at times that I would better see him there as a good friend or helping hand for Lara for example like Zip in Legend http://forum.tombrai...tyle_emoticons/default/smile.gif
Maybe he could clean Lara`s guns!
